Coincidences & Clairvoyance

May 30, 2016

I sometimes wonder if that is what Krishna meant-
Among other things – or one way of putting the same thing:
That the future is a faded song, a Royal Rose or a lavender spray
Of wistful regret for those who are not yet here to regret,
Pressed between yellow leaves of a book that has never been opened.

2.

We look before and after
And pine for what is not:
Our sincerest laughter
With some pain is fraught;
Our sweetest songs are those that tell of saddest thought.

The Penguin Book of French Poetry 序言时,看到其中介绍 alexandrine (a line of poetic meter comprising 12 syllables) 的部分时,想起昨天法语课上老师正好提到过一次。

4.
